Damion W. Rhodes is a Self-taught acrylic artist from Los Angeles, California, studying Old Masters alongside the styles & techniques of newer artists, such as Vladimir Volegov, Roberto Ferri, Alpay Efe and France Van Stone, to name a few. Beginning with Academic and Charcoal studies (Caravaggio, Velazquez, others) there are no limitations to subject matter. Currently working in Merritt Island, Florida.

Artist Statement~"I'm inspired by everything for different or specific reasons. I like touching on the pychological and emotional aspects of the Human Condition. I also enjoy portraiture and creating the random images flashing around in my mind. The coexistence and war between light and darkness translated. What cannot be understood verbally, I like attempting to translate visually. What started as an experiment with art in 2023 has mutated into a full blown addiction. No days off thus far...
